Project Overview

Large format printed banners to display in the Sahuarita location’s parking lot to highlight the property’s amenities

Challenges

Desert Diamond has two casino properties in the Tucson areas: the resort at Tucson, and the casino/event center at Sahuarita. Many patrons arrive at Sahuarita for the first time to see a show, but do not take advantage of dining or gambling. The client wanted visible signage about these amenities that was visible without entering the casino.

Because Tucson is the larger casino, all of the professional photography I had access to was from there. I was tasked with creating 8-10 large format flags showcasing the property amenities without any photos from it.

Solution

These flags were made in conjunction with the overarching “Celebrate” campaign that featured a tagline of “Celebrate X” on various ads. I worked with the client to compile a list of the amenities they wanted to feature, then worked with my Art Director to write copy that fit in with the campaign. 

To deal with the shortage of photography, I combined existing photography from various properties with the few interior snaps we had. I also used stock photos paired with the branded “Diamond Burst” background to round out the group. This mix of talent photos and close up stock helped to keep the banners a visually appealing mix while staying on brand.
